Quinta Souto Covo is situated in the Beira Alta Province of Northern Portugal. It is in a remote valley overlooking the beautiful River Paiva which meanders its way along the bottom of the property.

Fishing on the Portugese rivers is free, other than a local licence that the owners will purchase on your behalf (€8). The rivers contain trout, carp and barbel that may be fished by any method. The trout season runs from 1 March-31 July. Carp/barbel 1 July-14 March. There is a section of the River Paiva in the grounds of Quinta Souto Covo and many miles of river within a short drive.

The property consists of two houses – the main house and the Lodge. The independent Lodge is ideal for families as it can sleep up to 6 people. The Main house offers a B&B option with a choice of two en-suite double/twin rooms.
